Web poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the house instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer saying "No further bets." At that point, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other gamblers are given five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s initial card, you need to either make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s value is akin to your original wager, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your bet goes instantly to the bank. After the bet comes the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including a figure on par with the initial wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips equal to your original bet and set odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
