Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the western in a great game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the casino, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers compete with other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, starting players do not have to fret about any other, more experienced players winning their money.
Another Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game pace, newcomers should be able to take their time and plan without having to make quick selections.
It’s also easier to bet on for a long time with only a little bit of money seeing as, to lose, both of your hands needs to be under each of the houses hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards faces showing and the casino receives seven cards faces hidden.
One five card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the casino’s.
